Phil McCormick is a minor character in Fargo Season 1. He is an accountant from Saint Paul, Minnesota.

History[]

Early life[]

According to his coworkers, possibly had a gambling problem. He is also rumored to have some involvement with drugs and pedophilia. (A Muddy Road)

Unpaid debt[]

Phil is seen in his office cubicle filing papers. He hears footsteps, and checks outside his cubicle to see Lorne Malvo standing at the end of the corridor, and he panics. As Malvo approaches him, he begs for his life, telling him he will pay off a debt that he owes. Before he can finish, he is grabbed by the necktie and dragged out of the office and into the parking lot. He is stripped down to his underwear and put in the trunk of a car and driven away. Later that night, the car hits a deer and crashes, giving an opportunity for him to escape. However, due to not having any clothes on to keep him warm, he freezes to death overnight hiding behind a tree. His body is later found by Vern Thurman and Molly Solverson. (The Crocodile's Dilemma)
